Wow so I just read this note today on Exodus and it seems so applicable:
"There are probably no more biblically familiar words than "thou shalt not."...Many of these (laws mentioned to the Israeli people) are surprisingly applicable across time and culture. The poor still struggle for justice in our criminal system. The immigrant struggles in our midst more than ever...Such obedience will show the character of Israel's God."
