Another thing is that God is a god of choice. He gave Adam and Eve instructions not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and instead they can partake in everything else besides the fruit of that tree. He gave them a choice - He wasn't going to force them... obviously they disobeyed and that caused the fall.
With that said, God gives us choices every single day... one of them would be: to obey Him or not. Do we choose to put our faith and trust in Him, or do we decide to take things upon our own strength? I encourage you all to say a prayer every morning (if you don't already do so) asking God to lead you throughout the day and let Him know that you're putting your trust in Him. This will strengthen your relationship with Him in that you'll become more sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
I pray that God continues to reveal new things to us, through His word, every day. God bless!
